Yosemite National Park — Park officials at Yosemite say the conditions there are more like spring rather than the 4th of July after an excessively snowy wet winter.
Officials are warning those heading to the park this weekend that it is important to be prepared.
Rangers say snow and ice are still on the ground in many areas of the park and creek beds that are normally dry are flowing with runoff.
Officials say the snow is still as deep as 12 to 15 feet in some places above the eight thousand-foot level and many lakes in the higher elevations remain frozen.
