Sacramento, CA — Weather forecasters are continuing to warn Motherlode residents of extremely hot weather over the next few days.
The National Weather Service says a very strong high pressure system is building over the area and moving in from the desert southwest.
That means the area across the central valley and into the Sierra foothills will see the hottest temperatures so far this season.
Forecasters say temperatures will reach into the upper 90s and most likely the hundreds for the rest of the week and through the weekend.
Experts advise residents to drink plenty of fluids, slow down and cool off when feeling fatigued.
