Californians overwhelmingly support commercial development, but they´re not keen on the population growth that comes with it. Today´s Field Poll says 78% of those surveyed support the idea of encouraging commercial growth. More than half also said population growth should be discouraged. Two-thirds say suburban sprawl is an important problem in the region.
