Despite second-guessing by Democrats, including during almost three months of debates just ended, we can’t recall any of them calling for earlier, more stringent measures in dealing with COVID-19 than those of the White House, despite Mr. Trump’s ill-considered remarks and tweets and lack of testing available which is a whole other issue. Writer Arthur Conan Doyle once noted: “It’s easy to be wise after the event.”
