EDC Task Force Continues Struggle

More problems abound with the Economic Development Company´s Task Force.

Just a short time after city councilman Hank Russell reported that the group´s lack of progress was dysfunctional, the two factions of the task force have decided to meet independently to form their recommendations to the county board of supervisors.

Four of the members of the task force reportedly left the most recent task force meeting early, and now the two separate factions may present two separate reports when the time comes to give their findings to the Tuolumne County Board of Supervisors.

In just under a month, the report on the EDC is expected to come before the Board, to determine the future of the company, and whether it will remain private but partially funded by the county, or become a county-run operation.
