Testimony in the penalty phase of Scott Peterson´s murder trial has wrapped up for the day.
Peterson´s lawyers say they have about 20 more witness remaining to call to the stand.
Testimony is now expected to last until Wednesday.
Earlier today, the mother of one of Peterson´s high school friends provided more insights into his life long before he was convicted of murdering his pregnant wife.
“Coni” Fritz told jurors that Peterson was what she called — “a caring, sweet, loving boy” when she knew him nearly two decades ago.
When the defense is done calling its witnesses, jurors will again be sequestered as they consider whether Peterson should be sentenced to death, or life in prison without parole.
