Pathologist Testifies in Peterson Murder Trial

Scott Peterson wept softly at his murder trial today.
The tears came as the pathologist who performed the autopsy on Laci Peterson´s body testified today that her fetus was expelled from her decaying body after her death.
Doctor Brian Peterson testified there was no evidence Laci had given birth prior to her death.
The pathologist says Laci Peterson´s uterus had not returned to more of a normal size as is typical after a woman gives birth naturally.
He also said a cause of death could not be determined.
On cross-examination, the pathologist acknowledged he could not determine whether the fetus had been born alive.
He estimated its age to be nine months.
