Fund To Help Dognapping Victim Established
Folks interested can now donate money to the Rancho Calaveras man who paid $10,000 to get his dog back from dognappers two weeks ago.
A special account for Frank Compton has been set up at Central Sierra Bank in Valley Springs.
Offers of help have come in from as far away as Kansas and news coverage of the story has been on national television and in newspapers across the country.
Authorities are also asking for the public´s assistance in finding the dognappers.
Anyone with information about the crime is urged to call the Calaveras County Sheriff´s Department at 772-2553.
Those wishing to help him recoup his loss may make checks payable to the “Frank Compton Fund,” at Central Sierra Bank, 87 Highway 26, Valley Springs, CA 95252.
