Merced Man Booked For Counterfeiting

Merced County sheriff´s deputies say a Merced man found an easy way to make money — just copy the two sides of a real bill and glue them together. A sheriff´s detective was patrolling the county fair where Avery Evans was allegedly trying to pass his newly printed cash. Evans was booked into jail on suspicion of passing counterfeit money, but was released after posting $2,000 bail.
