Police have put out a statewide Amber Alert for a Richmond girl who may be heading toward Southern California or Mexico in a brown Datsun 200-ZX. Contra Costa County Sheriff€™s deputies say 12-year-old Mariela Garcia was kidnapped from her school Tuesday morning. They think she€™s in the custody of a 44-year-old man named Marcelino Benites, who is known to Mariela€™s family.
