San Andreas, CA — Caltrans this week allocated $203 million in grants to improve public transit, and $207K is coming to Calaveras County.
The funding is to construct a fueling station at the Calaveras County Government Center. It would allow the county to buy and store fuel in bulk for the transit buses. The funding is from Proposition 1B, the 2006 voter approved state transportation bond.
$233K is also coming to nearby Amador County to help improve and modernize the Amador Regional Transit Systems.
