Vehicle Stop Leads To East Sonora Meth Arrest
Sonora, CA — A vehicle stop in the Junction Center parking lot has lead to a probationer´s arrest for methamphetamine possession.
Early this morning, a Tuolumne County Sheriff´s deputy spotted a red Saturn station wagon with a cracked windshield. The vehicle, driven by 42 year old Timothy Wayne Hoelzel Jr. of Ripon, was immediately pulled over.
Hoelzel reportedly talked irrationally, and refused to follow simple commands. He was then handcuffed and searched.
A small amount of methamphetamine was found in his pocket. Hoelzel was already on felony probation for a prior drug violation.
He was transported and booked into county jail.
