Calaveras Transit Bus Plummets off Embankment
Glencoe, CA — The passengers of a Calaveras Transit bus were taken for quite a ride Thursday morning.
The CHP says the driver of the bus Carol Wilson of Valley Springs was coming around a turn on Highway 26 near Glencoe when she failed to negotiate the curve. The bus drove off the roadway and went 30 feet down an embankment.
Her passengers 21-year old Victoria Lewis, 27-year old David Christen and 47-year old Steve Capitanich, all of West Point, received minor injuries.
They complained of pain to their backs and legs and were taken to Mark Twain St. Joseph´s Hospital for treatment. The driver was uninjured.
The bus received dents to its left side and front end.
