Calaveras Saddle Queen Named

Angels Camp, CA — After a grueling and hot 4 hours of competition Wednesday afternoon, Jennifer Losoya was named the 2006 Calaveras Saddle Queen.

Losoya won 6 of the 7 events.

The 9 contestants competed for Miss Photogenic, Miss Congeniality, and in personal interview, equitation, reining pattern, barrel racing and queen salute.

Losoya won all but the Miss Congeniality competition, which went to second runner up Serena Elle. First runner up overall was Cat Gulizia.

Losoya´s sponsors were Spence Ranch Feed and Supply, Middleton´s, Turners Wild West, and Jim Bradley.

The competition took place before the fair opened.

Thursday´s big events at the fair are the parade in downtown Angels Camp at 10 a.m. and the Extreme Ranch Rodeo at 7:30 p.m.
