Calaveras County Wants Feedback On Its 2026 Hazard Mitigation Plan

San Andreas, CA—Calaveras County is seeking public feedback on the already ongoing 2026 Hazard Mitigation Plan update and asks citizens to complete a brief survey.

Calling the public’s input “valuable” in helping to shape the plan and prepare for events, like wildfires, floods, winter storms, earthquakes, and other emergencies that could impact our county.

“A huge part of this update is hearing directly from the people who live and work here,” stated county officials. “Your input will help us understand what hazards matter most to you and where we should focus our efforts moving forward.”

To get those answers, the residents are asked to take a short survey; click here. The deadline to fill out the Community Input Survey is May 1, 2026.

Of note, there will also be a public workshop on Tuesday, May 19, 2026, at 5:30 pm at the Calaveras County Government Center Board Overflow Room located at 891 Mountain Ranch Road, Building A, in San Andreas.
