Coulterville, CA — A vegetation fire that ignited on Wednesday afternoon in Mariposa County is now 33 acres with 30% containment.
The Bend Fire is in the Horseshoe Bend Recreation area near Coulterville in the vicinity of Highway 49 and Coulterville Road. CAL Fire reports that 112 firefighters are assigned to the incident, including eight engines, four hand crews, a dozer, and a helicopter.
It is burning in an isolated area, and no structures are currently considered at risk. Firefighters will continue to work on building additional containment lines throughout today.
