San Andreas, CA — CAL Fire will be doing prescribed burning today (June 2) near its Tuolumne-Calaveras Unit headquarters in San Andreas.
Burning will take place from 8 am – 5 pm on four acres along Mountain Ranch Road near Pope Street. Smoke will be visible from nearby Highway 49. The goal is to reduce hazardous fuels in undeveloped areas around the CAL Fire facility. Firefighters will remain on the scene until the flames are fully extinguished.
