San Andreas, CA – Calaveras County Animal Services (CCAS) is warning viewers of its Facebook page about a t-shirt scam targeting the shelter.
Shelter officials apologized to those tagged in a rash of fraudulent comments urging them to buy the fake CCAS T-shirts. They stated, “We will never pester you from a Facebook comment to buy a shirt.”
Animal Services authorities confirmed that the bogus accounts were reported and the spam comments deleted. They also thanked supporters who alerted them to the problem.
