Wesson Case Stays In Fresno
The murder trial of the man accused of the worst mass murder in the history of Fresno County will be staying in Fresno.
A judge ruled today there will be no change of venue in the murder trial of 57-year-old Marcus Wesson.
Wesson is charged with the murder of nine of his offspring, all of whom were between the ages of one to 25-years-old.
They were shot to death in March of this year as officers responded to the pleas of two women trying to retrieve their children from inside Wesson´s Fresno home.
In declining to move the trial, Superior Court Judge R.L. Putnam acknowledged there has been extensive media coverage in the case, but said a change of venue would not be justified.
The trial is scheduled to begin January 25th.
