California Sets Another Power Record

Sizzling statewide temperatures are setting another new record today for electricity consumption.
But state power officials say supplies are staying ahead of demand.
Officials say demand peaked around 4pm Wednesday as triple-digit heat covered much of inland California.
It´s the second day in a row for a record – and the seventh this year.
State officials attribute it to blazing late summer heat and the return of more Californians to their homes, schools and workplaces after the Labor Day weekend.
