CHP Releases Labor Day Holiday Stats

One person in Tuolumne County died over the Labor Day weekend – a result of a traffic accident.
California Highway Patrol spokesman Tom Wills says in the CHP´s Sonora coverage district, officers reported two injury accidents during the holiday. Saturday afternoon one person died from injuries sustained in a crash in Twain Harte. CHP Officers made eight “Driving Under the Influence” arrests during the weekend.
Highway patrol officials in Calaveras County region say motorists in their county did pretty good. There were no fatalities.
Officers made a total of four D-U-I arrests during the long weekend. One of those arrests followed an injury accident. Three people were hurt in other crashes during the weekend period which ended Monday night.
