More Officers Carry Tasers

The number of law enforcement officers with Taser stun guns is going up in San Joaquin County, in spite of a nationwide debate over the health risks of shocking combative suspects. Just this month, the Tracy Police Department trained half of its force on how to use the stun guns. By next month, all 82 Tracy patrol officers will be armed with Tasers, like all sheriff´s deputies and police officers in Stockton, Lodi and Manteca.
