Authorities in Amador County say that a small homemade bomb blew up early yesterday morning while officials were responding to a grass fire near Martell.
When CHP officers arrived at the scene of the small fire, there was a small detonation.
Pieces of the small pipe bomb-like device were sent to the State Fire Marshall€™s office. The fire was contained to a small patch of grass.
