CHP Seeks Eyewitnesses of Fatal Accident
The CHP is looking for eyewitness accounts of that fatal accident in Jamestown on Monday. “What we´re looking for is any witnesses that might have seen that crash that we had here at the intersection of Highway 49 and 5th Street,” said CHP Officer Brad Schultz.
Right now, the CHP believes the 1986 Honda Accord driven by 19-year-old Ryan Torres ran into the back of another car. “When he rear-ended that vehicle, he went off into the southbound lane and that€™s when he got struck by a bobtail truck,” Schultz said.
19-year-old Torres, from Twain Harte, was killed.
Officer Schultz says that if you saw the accident, please call the CHP office in Jamestown at 984-3944. Ask for Officer Schultz or Officer J.D. Gibson.
