Brothers Drown In Tuolumne River

Three boys drowned in the Tuolumne River near Empire yesterday after the youngest boy fell in and his brothers tried to save him. The boys – ages eight through twelve – were pronounced dead at a Modesto hospital. Stanislaus County authorities say the boys were climbing a steep embankment when the youngest fell.
