Accused Killer’s Arraignment Today

63-year-old Peter Chiesa will be arraigned this afternoon in Calaveras County in the shooting deaths of his two neighbors. Deputies say Chiesa shot Annette Truman and Leslie Hannameyer in a dispute over some tree trimmings.
Investigators say Chiesa shot the women as they were clearing limbs and branches out of a roadway on a shared easement. They say the easement has been the source of an ongoing dispute over the past 14 years. Chiesa was jailed after a 3-hour standoff at his Wallace home.
