Power Fire Nearly Extinguished

Stanislaus National Forest, CA — A fire burning in the Stanislaus National Forest is 1,070 acres and 97 percent contained.
A total of 418 firefighters remain on scene this morning. An incident command management team had been called up from Southern California, but effective today they are turning things back over to the local Forest Service officials. The cause of the fire remains under investigation. Three firefighters have experienced minor injuries since the fire was first spotted back on August 5th.
The fire is four miles northwest of Pinecrest.
