Traffic Could Stink For the Next Several Weeks In Jamestown
Jamestown, CA — Sewer work in Jamestown will create one-way traffic control on a main thoroughfare and cause some delays for motorists.
The Jamestown Sanitary District, has hired Njirich and Sons, Inc. to do the work on the 5th Avenue and Jamestown Road Sewer Improvement Project. District officials note that the sewer main must be relocated prior to the County’s installation of a traffic signal at the intersection of 5th Avenue and State Route 49/108.
The work will begin Thursday, October 27, 2016, weather permitting, and continue through December 2nd at the Intersection of Jamestown Road and 5th Avenue.
District officials have mapped out this plan to direct traffic in the area. Motorists traveling southbound on Jamestown Road will be detoured to 5th Avenue for highway access. Flaggers will be detouring traffic northbound on Jamestown Road around the construction area. Motorists can expect 5 minute delays.
The district asks that drivers use caution in the cone zones.
