Curtis Creek School District Welcomes Shawn Posey as New Superintendent
Sonora, CA– At its regular board meeting on April 3,the Curtis Creek School District Board of Trustees unanimously approved the contract for Shawn Posey as its new Superintendent. Posey, with 26 years of experience in education, brings a wealth of expertise to his new role, having served as a History teacher, Middle School Principal, Assistant Superintendent of Human Resources, and District Superintendent. Additionally, Posey has overseen Maintenance, Operations, Transportation, and Food Services programs.
“I am very excited and honored to be joining the Curtis Creek School District. I have been blessed by many wonderful teachers throughout my schooling. I look forward to working diligently with the purpose of providing our students with the best education experience possible,” stated Posey.
Posey will officially assume his duties on July 1, replacing outgoing Superintendent Dawn Mori.
