Budget Discussions, Pedro Hiring, On Calaveras Supervisors Agenda
San Andreas, CA — The Calaveras County Board of Supervisors will vote next week on hiring Craig Pedro as the Interim Public Works Director.
Robert Pachinger most recently served as Calaveras Public Works Director, after being hired in April of 2021. County documents note that the position became vacant on June 1st. Pedro, the former longtime CAO of Tuolumne County, also served as Interim Calaveras CAO, in 2022.
Pedro’s proposed contract would continue until the position is filled, or until he has worked 960 hours, whichever comes first. He would receive the same hourly rate that is budgeted for the Public Works Director position, $83.74.
Another notable item on Tuesday’s agenda is a presentation on the 2024-25 proposed budget and board direction on any changes that are desired.
The board will also receive a presentation from Lionakis on Phase II Architectural and Engineering Services for Schematic Design of the District Attorney Building.
Tuesday’s meeting starts at 8 am at the Government Center in San Andreas with closed session items, and the regular portion will begin at 9 am.
