Angels Camp, CA — The four-day Calaveras County Fair and Jumping Frog Jubilee saw an attendance of just over 40,000.

Initial figures supplied by Fair CEO Laurie Giannini estimate that 40,551 people attended this year, compared to 37,260 last year.

The Junior Livestock auction held on Sunday also raised well over a million dollars again this year.

The current figure is $1.28 million for the 503 lots, but Giannini notes that people can still boost the amounts. Last year, the total was just over $1.3 million.

This year’s winner of the International Frog Jump was 88-year-old Lillian Fasano, who also won in 2022. Her frog jumped 19 feet and two and one-quarter inches. Rosie the Ribbiters 40-year record of 21 feet and 5 and three-quarters inches stands for another year.

We reported earlier that Winter Adkins won this year’s Miss Calaveras Scholarship Pageant, Mina Russell-Choi was the Rodeo Queen, and Alisha Baker was the Junior Rodeo Queen.
