Sonora, CA — Sonora resident Bruce Watson was an eyewitness to the logging truck that overturned this morning at Hwy 49 and Carson Hill.
Watson was following the truck when it overturned. Two paramedics, a man and a woman, were in a car passing by the accident. They immediately stopped. The man and still another individual helped the driver out of the truck and attended to his head cuts while waiting for authorities to arrive.
The northbound lane of Hwy 49 remains blocked at this hour due to the fallen logs. C.H.P. is awaiting Caltrans personnel to remove the logs. Motorists are urged to avoid the area if at all possible.
